Regarding disk space of DSM

Unread post by blueskyhao » Mon Jan 07, 2013 2:50 am

I'm new for NAS and now using DS212j as a download center. Recently i found my disk space run out. So i try to delete some file to release spaces. However, after i delete about 400G files, there are still warning exist and in space management still shows no space. I rebooted, but not working.

Anyone no how to release disk space? :?:

Above is Q1, I also have a Q2.

Following is my file structure, anybody find any problem? (my disk space should be 2T, FYI)

DiskStation> ls
@appstore @quarantine @transmissiond.core photo
@autoupdate @spool Synology_NAS thunder
@cloudstation @synoairplayd.core video
@database @synoflvconv.core aquota.user web
@download @task.cgi.core homes xunlei
@optware @tmp music
DiskStation> du -sh
1.8T .
DiskStation> du -sh @download
408.9G @download
DiskStation> du -sh Synology_NAS
1.7T Synology_NAS

Any comments?

Q1: Go check you shares and empty all recycle bins
Some people spent a lot of time writing the Help files, use it!
Do not expect serious answers if it can be found by searching for it yourself.
