Howto migrate MySQL to newer version?

Unread post by JudgeMing » Tue Jan 10, 2012 7:24 am

My DS2411+ is currently running MySQL 5.1.49. MySQL 5.6 is available. An important (to me) upgrade is the support of multiple XML functions through SQL.

How to migrate the DS to a new version of MySQL?
Will a Synology upgrade of a DSM version undo the custom MySQL migration?

Thanks,
Roland
