Recently unable to view .jpeg files using DS File

Unread post by BobMackay » Thu Oct 19, 2017 3:12 am

Hi There,

Using DS File on my Android phone, a Nexus 5X, I can log in and browse my directory system perfectly, but when I get down clicking on a .jpg file, the caption shows the file name OK, but the screen is otherwise black and no image is shown. Swiping right or left shows the caption of the next .jpg, but still no image.

Has anyone any good ideas as to whether this is a configuration issue or a bug in the current app? It used to work a while back.

Many thanks,

Bob

As you can see, this forum is very quiet, so No, I got no useful response.

I think that the actual problem is performance-related. I ended up not using the phone for browsing pictures, but using Google Drive instead. The Synology drive itself is fine, though, so I still use it to hold my data.

Thank you. I am quite new to this kind of things, how do you use Google Drive? Does it connect to the NAS, so no Drive space is used?
