I asked but they are not allowed to give instructions. Sry.

But I am still interested in what they actually did.

EDIT: after about one hour it started to work again by itself.

-----------------------------------------------
same issue here after the last update on a DS212j

I tried to:
* stop Diskstation and restart Diskstation
* added Google DNS (8.8.4.4 and 8.8.8.8)
* connecto to a VPN
* reboot the NAS

but the problem is still there... :-(

If I try to download a file on a Mac, using uTorrent, the file is downloaded, so the connection seem ok.

DSM 6.1.1-15101
Diskstation 3.8.3-3458

Does anyone have a clue?
Thank you in advance!

@klinger : when you uninstall Downloadstation it propose you to delete downloadstation database...

I meet this issue today for an http file downloaded and I detect that it seems there was an unvisible character starting the name of the file : see it with the Tab touch in SSH CLI command in the @download directory ...

I detect that the problem never arrived when you download 1 file by 1 file but only when there is more than 1 file in downloadstation queue... maybe it could help Synology Team Support to diagnose the issue ...

I got into this issue after buying new second ds. I gave it the same ip as the old one (and moved the old to another ip). Still, the NAT/PAT on the router should work with the new one. I started downloads via DSget app on Android and it went into waiting status and remained there for 12+ hours.
To me helped to run DownloadStation from web dsm gui and it prompted for a default download destination directory. Then the downloads started immediatelly. I set the destination before in DSget but it obviously did not work.

After Disk Repair, unable to download....

Unread post by zorro18888 » Sun Sep 23, 2018 9:30 am

My disks on my 415+ suddenly became degraded after a power failure and I was able to repair them
My PC was able to detect and read the files in the disks after the repair
However, when using Download station, the torrents in my queue were all *Waiting* status and adding new torrents using the "+" function, the new torrent was also "waiting".....even after several days.

I am not a tech guy and I would like to know how I can resolve my downloading issues.
Thank you

DS415Play with DSM 6.2-23739 Update 2.

Cannot download anything with Download Station. Download in "waiting" :evil: status... since the latest dsm update...

Changing DNS server doesn't help...

Any suggestions?

*** update *** : uninstalling and reinstalling the app worked in my case :D

I was getting this same problem: No matter how many concurrent downloads I set my Synology NAS to, it would only download 11 items on my list, whenever I remove one of these items, no new item download would start. All my waiting downloads were stuck in "waiting" mode. Was driving me crazy.

Tried changing the DNS server to 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1, didn't work
Tried rebooting the NAS didn't work
Tried stopping the Download Station service manually and restarting it didn't work
Didn't try reinstalling, because I wasn't sure if doing so would mean I have to re-instruct the NAS as to what to download (I have like 100s of torrent already setup to download and it would take too long to do all that again!)

Good news though this work for me so I am sharing:

On Download Station, the top right most button (left of filter search),
Click Pause All
Wait a minute
Click Resume All
Voila

P.S.

Also try Download Station>Settings>BT/HTTP/FTP/NZB>General>Process order set to By User

I needed to do this as well.
