Help with externalevent command

Postby yellowgreenpurple » Tue Jan 02, 2018 9:46 pm

Hi,
I would like a snapshot to be taken by the surveillance station, when a button is pressed in domoticz.
Therefore I created an action rule, in Event tab, I selected:
Event source: External device
Event: External event 1.

the command needed is automatically generated:

Code: Select all

https://192.168.1.100:5001/webapi/entry.cgi?api=SYNO.SurveillanceStation.ExternalEvent&method="Trigger"&version=1&eventId=1&eventName="This is external event1"&account="{account}"&password="{password}"

I created a user in surveillance station with all rights and filled in username and password in command above. ({} were also removed).

I created a bash file with:

Code: Select all

#!/bin/bash
curl -k https://192.168.1.100:5001/webapi/entry.cgi?api=SYNO.SurveillanceStation.ExternalEvent&method="Trigger"&version=1&eventId=1&eventName="This is external event1"&account="xxx"&password="xxx"

If I run the bash file, I get:

Code: Select all

{"error":{"code":101},"success":false}

Any idea how to solve this?

Hi! I just had the same error but tried to enable and disable my ca,mera. I think this is because of using https. Try to add a non https port in the application portal and use something like this:

http://192.168.0.100:9900/webapi/entry. ... ASSWORD%22

It worked for me
