Ds2415+ plus volume crashed on auto startup

Unread post by Sim75 » Mon Sep 24, 2018 12:33 pm

I’ve had my ds2415+ running constantly for about 2 months for various reasons or another. Last night I decided to put it on an auto shutdown and restart schedule overnight but upon restart this morning I was faced with the dreaded beep. My volume is showing as degraded with 2 HDDs showing as crashed (an 8tb and a 10tb). I am running SHR with a 1 disk fault tolerance 😞

Is there anything I can do to repair the volume? I have asked Synology support but through reading the forum it suggests it may take 10-15 days if they even bother answering.

I can still access files on the volume and have a limited knowledge of the unit - is it possible to fix myself through ssh do you think? If so, please can some kind soul post a guide or point me in the right direction?
