during migration "ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED"

Unread post by kevinc » Sat Sep 15, 2018 6:34 am

Greetings,

My DS1515+ power supply died. I got a new DS1515+ and simply plugged my three hard drives into the new DS1515+ frame. I reloaded the DSM OS so the version is 6.2-23739. I'm not sure what DSM OS the hard drives were using last week.

DSM Assistant sees the DS1515+. When I click on it I get the following:

"This site can’t be reached
192.168.1.8 refused to connect.
ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED"

I used NMAP to see what ports were open. These are the open ports:
PORT STATE SERVICE
139/tcp open netbios-ssn
445/tcp open microsoft-ds
548/tcp open afp
3261/tcp open winshadow

I'm not sure what to do next. Any advice how I can get an operational DSM on the new DS1515+ to access the data on the hard drives? Should I purchase a new drive, install DSM, and then plug in my old three hard drives?

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi

You could try a second reset, as in this Tutorial here https://www.synology.com/da-dk/knowledg ... nology_NAS

Your data will still be on the DS, and the DSM is reinstalled.

Change the IP of your PC, the current one may be blocked on the NAS.
