Synology Assistant and Fedora 28

Unread post by lordtaki » Fri Sep 14, 2018 1:13 pm

On the previous computer with Fedora 28 Synology Assistant was working fine.
New computer, same release, same architecture and Synology Assistant segfaults.
No SELinux, no firewall. Any idea?

Window pops out a couple of seconds before dying.

Thank you.

/opt/Synology/SynologyAssistant/SynologyAssistant is a shell script. If you change the last line

${ScriptDir}/SynologyAssistant.bin $*

into

strace ${ScriptDir}/SynologyAssistant.bin $*

you will get copious output, but it may get you closer to the clue why it crashes.

Will give it a try with strace.
