About upload error

Postby kasim155367 » Fri May 19, 2017 5:15 pm

I just got my new NAS Synology DiskStation DS916+.

I created the new sharing fold and tried to upload some videos and photos.

But sometimes it showed me the message "An error occurred because one or more folders are among the items you are uploading"

I try to do so some research, but I still don't find the answer.

Can someone tell me how to figure out it?

PS: I am working in a Film Studio. We usually download the videos and upload it at the same time. Does it influence system to work and happen the error?

I am looking for an answer on this as well on my brand new 416play.
"An error occurred because one or more folders are among the items you are uploading"
So whats up on this, anyone?
How do you clear this?
Thanks

This happened to me after I stopped ~180G of file xfers(drag drop into file manager).
The xfer rate was woefully slow 10-20k and was estimated 9999 days. Some of the zip
and rar files copied at higher rates 1MB or so but all the little(Many many thousands of them)
files 100-400k were pathetic xfer rates.

Trying to copy them again gives the error yet there is nothing being xfered.
I rebooted my laptop and the NAS(416play) as well, no change.

My workaround was to map a drive on the laptop to the NAS and then copy them
using Windows Explorer to drag/drop the files. The xfer rates doing it this way were
better in the ~3-5MB a second as well.

This is a brand new 416play with the latest DSM etc..
Two 4TB WD Red drives.

SHR raid 1

Laptop Win7 64bit
Latest Windoze updates
I7 Intel processor
