List of routers with PASV FTP issue after upgraded to FW 462

Franklin@Jun-23 wrote:This FTP connection problem that we are observing is associated with certain routers and how it handles our system. In 462, we've changed the FTP behavior so that you don't need "CoreFTP" to work with our product with regards to Passive FTP.

However now we've discovered that some routers are taking our translated address and translating it again, which is this issues. Our engineers are still studying the new data, however we believe that this is the cause of why some servers FTP functions are not working properly.
Franklin@Jun-29 wrote:Last I checked, our engineering team is planning to add an option where it will allow users to select to have our system translate the address or not. It should be ready in the summer release.
Franklin@Jul-04 wrote:The upcoming Beta Release, version 49x should will have the capability of enabling/disabling our internal NAT; so this way, users can decide whether they wish to have our system to perform NAT or have it performed at the Router level. The Beta is scheduled to be released next week.

Postby fatmambo33 » Tue Jun 26, 2007 2:27 pm

hi,
You can add Negear RP614v2 Firmware 6.0

Using PASV FTP, your new firmware :
LAN
gives service setup ports ==> it works
WAN
it goes crazy giving non Syno FTP service setup ports on WAN ==>

please tell us how to downgrade

After upgrade to 462, the FTP Service :

Two DS-106 F/W462 with NetScreen 50 not work (Office)

DS-106 F/W462 with PCi BRL-04R work fine (Home)

Return to “Firmware 462 for DS101j and DS106 Series”
