406e disappears off of network.

Unread post by markmc » Wed Oct 03, 2007 6:52 pm

Everything works fine for a while, then the CS-406e just falls off the network. Sometimes it responds to pings, sometiomes not. The ONLY way to get it back is to cycle the power which as a long term solution is not acceptable. Any ideas on what is causing this?

firmware: 2.0.3 - 0462
power management is off

there are 4 seagate 500GB drives in the system configured as 2 RAID-1 arrays of 500GB each.

the Synology Assistant won't even see the box after it disappears.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please either make sure that Hibernation is disabled on your system
Or Join the beta program and upgrade to beta 514

You may contact support, however our engineers will recommended that upgrade to beta 514 as this behavior was corrected in that firmware.
