DS212 doesn't show up in Network in Windows 7

Unread post by Celtic67 » Thu Mar 01, 2012 6:34 pm

Hi all,

I'm trying to troubleshoot a friend's DS212. There are a few different PCs on the LAN, XP and Windows 7. All systems are in the same workgroup and same LAN. The NAS is configured to use usernames/passwords and all PCs can connect to the shares.

The XP PCs see the NAS in My Network Places, but the Windows 7 PC doesn't show it in Network. Browsing to the NAS from Win 7 works fine.

There's no firewall running on the Win 7 PC, browsing is enabled & it can see other PCs in Network.
