screen command and limitation of line lengh

Unread post by thierryb180381 » Sun Jun 04, 2017 3:10 pm

Hello,

On my DS415Play, Ised this tutoral : https://www.skyminds.net/nas-synology-i ... mentaires/ to install ipkg and adding programs linke "screen" command line.

it works perfect without rebooting the NAS.

But I have a big problem of limitation of line's lengh inside a screen....

So I wanted to do an rsync inside a screen, and it trunks ttarget directory's name..., creating me files into /volum...., as it was not able to continue on the line just below.

Example:
outside screen

Code: Select all

DS415Play> rsync --delete --partial --progress -av /volume1/Videos/.../ /vol
umeUSB1/usbshare1-2/..../
-> it works well

Inside screen:

Code: Select all

# rsync --delete --partial --progress -av /volume1/Videos/.../ /volume...
and autocompletion doesn't work anymore.

so I had to delete quickly this folder which used all space of /...

There is a way to resolve that?

Thanks.

Hello,

It seems working good now with a reboot :).
