pyLoad - Download from megaupload - rapidshare and many more

Unread post by lordgrifis » Sat Feb 19, 2011 2:25 pm

I have found how to install pyLoad on synology Nas (I have used a qnap guide)
Supported host are http://pyload.org/hoster
megaupload, rapidshare and more without premium account !!
great interface and client (pyloadgui)

we need ssh active on nas
putty ( or linux ssh)

we connect using putty
user root
pass admin pass

Step 1: Prepare
Install the Optware QPKG Plugin. (use the faq guide)
In case you have installed the Python QPKG Plugin you have to deinstall it, because it will conflict later.

Step 2: Install needed tools
Login at your QNAP and execute this code.
CODE: SELECT ALL
ipkg install screen
ipkg install nano
ipkg install wget
ipkg install unzip

Step 3: Install python and other dependencies
CODE: SELECT ALL
ipkg install python
ipkg install py25-crypto
ipkg install py25-curl
ipkg install libcurl
ipkg install py25-openssl
ipkg install py25-django
ipkg install py25-pil
ipkg install tesseract-ocr
ipkg install tesseract-ocr-lang-eng
ipkg install ossp-js
ipkg install unrar

Step 4: Get pyLoad
CODE: SELECT ALL
cd /opt
wget http://get.pyload.org/get/src/0.4.4/
unzip-unzip pyload-src-v0.4.4.zip
rm pyload-src-v0.4.4.zip
cd pyload/

Step 5: Configure
You should change the default config directory from /root/.pyload to a directory of your choice, e.g. /usr/share/pyload
In this directory all files and downloads will be stored.

CODE: SELECT ALL
cd module/config/
echo "/usr/share/pyload" >> configdir

Make pyLoad executable:
CODE: SELECT ALL
chmod +x /opt/pyload/pyLoadCore.py

You can start pyLoad simply with:
CODE: SELECT ALL
python /opt/pyload/pyLoadCore.py

When you do this the first time you should see a configuration assistant.
Make sure to enable the webinterface, because its the easiest way to access pyLoad remotely. Over the webinterface you are able to do more configuration and add premium accounts.

Step 6b: Run pyLoad (as daemon)
Since version 0.4.3 pyLoad has a builtin daemon mode which should be used instead of the screen method.
CODE: SELECT ALL
python /opt/pyload/pyLoadCore.py --daemon

You can quit pyLoad with;
CODE: SELECT ALL
python /opt/pyload/pyLoadCore.py --quit

I works great!!
low cpu and ram usage

I need halp for autorun
any time we turn on our nas we need to connect on ssh and start manually with

python /opt/pyload/pyLoadCore.py

Saluti

Just tried to install pyload on my DS1511+ using this guide.
When I try to start pyload with

Code: Select all

python /opt/pyload/pyLoadCore.py
I get the following errormessage

Code: Select all

Segmentation fault (core dumped)
.
Can anyone help?
Here is the whole installation procedure, maybe it helps: http://pastebin.com/vQLtZAYB

Hi Lordgrifis

Put this script in /opt/etc/init.d, make it executable (chmod +x ...)
and don't forgget to change the path to the config file .pyload I put mine on /volume1 ...

hope it could help you and maybe others !

Code: Select all

#!/bin/sh
export PATH=/opt/bin:/opt/sbin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin
COMMAND="python pyLoadCore.py --configdir=/volume1/CHANGE/THIS/.pyload"

start() {
        echo "Starting PyLoad"
        cd /opt/share/pyload
        $COMMAND --daemon
}

status() {
        echo -n "Status of PyLoad: "
        cd /opt/share/pyload
        STATUS=$($COMMAND --status)
        if [[ $STATUS = "False" ]]; then
                echo "Not running"
        else
                echo "Running as PID $STATUS"
        fi
}

stop() {
        echo "Stopping PyLoad"
  cd /opt/share/pyload
        $COMMAND --quit
}

case "$1" in
        start)

I have upgrade my pyload to 0.4.5
I have renamed /opt/pyload in /opt/pyload_old
then
Step 4: Get pyLoad
CODE: SELECT ALL
cd /opt
wget http://get.pyload.org/get/src/0.4.5/
unzip-unzip pyload-src-v0.4.4.zip
rm pyload-src-v0.4.5.zip
cd pyload/
then I have created the user, old settings are ok

The new pyload now is compatible with captchatrader!
Now is possible to download without captcha problems from hotfile, fileshare and similar!

I made a step-by-step guide to install pyLoad version 0.4.5 available here: http://setaoffice.com/2011/04/10/how-to ... on-ds211j/.

I believe that to have it packaged as a .spk I will have to tar pyLoad and the dependencies and write the scripts to install/unistall it.

Hi there,

I followed the posted guide which was really, really helpful. But I'm still struggling. I very new to Linux and command line stuff so go easy with me.

I have PYLoad working but as soon as I log out of the synology web interface PYLoad stops working. It also seems to lose some settings or another because I have to do the following 2 things again to get it to work:

Code: Select all

python /usr/local/pyload/pyLoadCore.py -s

Code: Select all

python /usr/local/pyload/pyLoadCore.py —-daemon
After doing that it will work again...while I'm logged into the Synology web interface. As soon as I close down the browser window. I'll log back in and try and open PYLoad but it just goes to a Web Page cannot be found screen. It's very weird. Clearly I'd like to be able to switch of my PC entirely and let the Synology with PYLoad installed handle the downloads but I can't do that if I have to stay logged into the Synology web interface.

Any ideas anyone? I'd really like to get this sorted as I can't use Download Station with Filesonic & Fileserve.

Thanks in advance

Geff

Is there a reason you need to rerun the setup?
Check these things
  • You have a share named download
  • Leave the listen address as 0.0.0.0 and port 8000

Code: Select all

python /usr/local/pyload/pyLoadCore.py --daemon
Check if you pasted -- (dash, dash). It could be pasted as dot if you paste it directly. If these didn't work, start it with

Code: Select all

python -v /usr/local/pyload/pyLoadCore.py --daemon
and paste the output here

Okay I must have done something following your instructions above as now I can log into PYLoad web interface without any problems. :D

However, now I have a bigger problem...my downloads will not start. I press start and nothing happens they just sit in the queue with either a status of "online" or "queued". Why can't this program just work for me?...I'm tearing my hair out with it. :x

I need to be able to schedule my downloads for between 11pm till 9am. And I want to be able to leave the Synology to do it unattended without having to have a pc on. Nothing seems to be working for me at the moment. The built in download station doesn't support fileserve or filesonic, sdownloader wont accept my rapidshare premium account and I can't get PyLoad to work properly at all.

Any help would be really useful.

EDIT - I've just rebooted the synology and restarted PyLoad, it appears that the downloads had started but the web interface was not displaying them as started as when I loaded PyLoad up after the reboot the downloads were already 10% in. But now I have the problem in the fact that I can't stop them by pressing stop. So something has clearly gone wrong with the web interface. Is there any way in which I can completely uninstall this all and start over?

It's a web application. Press the button to perform the action and click again on the tab (Home, Queue, Collector, Downloads) to force it to refresh the screen.

If you desire to remove pyLoad, remove /usr/local/pyload with

Code: Select all

rm -r /usr/local/pyload
and start over

Go to config and on Download Time, set it to start at 23:00 and end at 09:00. This should solve your problem

Give me some credit...lol. Of course I'd tried that and it doesn't work as said it simply remains on queued or online.

Gonna try this and reinstall.

Yes I had done this...the downloads did not start at my scheduled time...again just stuck on queued or online...as previously mentioned.

Thanks so much for your help...no doubt if it still doesn't work after a full reinstall I'll be back on. :lol:
