Amazon Cloud Drive support would be great. I would also like this feature for my diskstation.

+1 for cloud drive support.

Cloud Backups is starting to become a big thing now.
If Synology was to jump on this bandwaggon, it'll give them a great edge over competitors.

Agreed, it would be nice since you get 5G free with ClooudDrive. However, Synology does support S3, which is what CloudDrive is based on. However, you don't get any minimal free amount, so you'll end up paying a few bucks a month.

Im currently backing up ~50gb of photos and videos which I dont mind paying ~$100 a year for.

I think its a great service and wish Synology would support the cloud drive :/

+1! Yes, please add this feature! I too would love the ability to send photos directly from my DS211j to my Cloud Drive account.

+1 for Amazon Cloud Storage. This would be a great feature. I would like to back up my Synology to the Amazon Cloud drive as a master back-up. This way if my house burns down I still have all my important files and documents.

Another vote for Amazon Cloud and MS Skydrive (25GB free!)

How about support for any remote disk service that supports webdav? SkyDrive, S3, GoDaddy (100GB for $30/yr)

Optional encryption for files as they go out for services that don't support it?

100% yes!!

Amazon Cloud Drive in a package would be great. We need more official options than Hi Drive which is quite expensive an has had fairly poor feedback in terms of service.

Anything new on this matter?

Another +1 from me for any support of cloud backups (Dropbox, Google Drive, box.net etc.). HiDrive is good (and I use it ATM) but pretty expensive
