DS 215J OK to Run Horizontally (On Side)?

Postby JanJ » Tue Nov 14, 2017 8:44 pm

Hello... Regarding my DS 215J (with 2x Red drives).....
I'm running into a 'space issue' in the rack it's installed in.... May I run it on it's side? ---- Horizontally? And If so, should I increase the fan speed?

I'm hoping to use space above an existing shelf that DS 215J sits on, to mount new equipment..... and in order to do that, I'd have to lay DS215J on it's side.... That's the reason for this request....

Thanks.... Jan

Airflow is front to back. It doesn't matter if unit is horizontal or vertical.
