Good question! Maybe, because of this:

We strongly recommend reading the Release notes section and the Known Issues & Limitations section before installing. If I don't use or need WIFI is this still needed or does it fix anything else not related to wifi?

Updated my DS916+ from 7 to 8 two days ago. Upgrade went fine.

This may be a coincidence, haven't noticed it before, my NAS has uploaded around 4GB to the net over the last 2 days. (based on the traffic analysis data on my router)
According to my router It just seems to be constantly "talking", 580bps here, 250bps there every few seconds.
The resource monitor on the DS desktop shows a regular 10-15KB/s upload and 5KB/s download and although there are active users on the network, nobody is using the NAS at the moment, (of course I am logged into it also) all cloud sync data appears to be non active / up to date according to the logs etc. It is possible there was a large upload/ backup done to the cloud and all this "chatter" is normal however I'm not aware of anything of that size being dropped onto the network, certainly not in folders that are linked to cloud backups etc.

Just wondering if this is due to the update or something else entirely. I have enabled the file transfer logs, but not sure if there is a way to see what is generating network traffic specifically?

I'm using DS215J System... and have 6.1.3-15152 Update 8 installed... I'm using 2x 2TB Red drives as Raid 1.
DS says everything is doing "Good"..

I point 3 motion Detect cameras at DS, and ftp .jpeg files to it.... Successfully...

Prior to update 8, I could go into individual or multiple folders on DS, and delete older folders containing pictures, an it would delete up to 30 or more files a second....
Since Update 8.... It only deletes 2 files a second... and it doesn't matter if I'm deleting only one folder, or multiple folders simultaneously... Only deletes 2 files a second....

I don't remember this being slow prior to update 8....

???? Suggestions????

My last post was NOT in error!! I'm still having issues with file deletions being far, far slower than prior versions.....

Is there anywhere else that I should be posting this, to make others aware of this situation???
