Updated 213j from 6.0.

30 minutes in and all seems well

Kudos to all the intrepid users who battled through the previous 6.1.x releases.

I just updated my 1515+ after reading about everyone being successful in updating, and mine went smoothly as well. This may be the first update in a long time that's reasonably safe to install right away.

This is my first Synology model DS216se and my first update after only 2 weeks of using new Synology NAS.
This morning I found NAS wanted to do after update restart "installation". I thought it was what was needed so I installed - and it was a new DSM installation and I lost all my configuration. I quickly turned off NAS and switched to mirrored drive, but there it was already the new installation. And the genius that I am I didnt have a configuration backup
So now I am doing all the configuration again ... thank all the saints at least I didnt loose the data in shared folder.

UPS no longer seems to hold connection with this release. I have had to disable UPS services since I'm now getting spammed by the connect/disconnected messages. No simple fix seems to work - cable, rebooting both UPS and synology 1513+. Could be coincidence....hard to say...but rebooted during normal reboot window last weekend and it was fine. Applied patch this AM and UPS services and my Tripp Lite are no longer working together.

Other than that no issues.

DS916+ updated to 6.1.3-15152 without problems. Even my docker containers started automatically. Usually I need to start them manually.

Tried to update our DS3615xs, everything messed up... 6.1.3.15152 simply don't boot anymore on 3615xs... So, we can't go downward to 6.1.2 and 6.1.3 just trap itself before the DSM interface come up
The laughable thing is that in rel notes they claim to had fixed boot problems, before 6.1.3 we have everything working just fine and now we can't use our 3615 anymore.

P.S. Even with a new disc the system simply not boot with that.. Come on! :x

Old disks power led blinking.
New disk power led blinking.

P.S. We had tried to reset the system (two times 4 sec reset button pressed) and to reinstall with a single disk unformatted... The result? DSM 6.1.3 won't start... Same blu power led blinking and nothing else...

Well, I took the plunge for DSM 6.1 today! After being afraid for months reading all thoses horror stories about the early DSM 6.1 updates, I tried the 6.1.3-15152 for both my units today:
- DS916+ factory 8gb ram (4 x 4tb WD reds running SHR raid, btrfs)
- DS1815+ (8 x 4tb WD reds running Raid 10, btrfs)

All went well. After the 6.1.3-15152 update I was proposed the 6.1.3-15152-1 which i did right away as well.
All went with no harm or hick up.

Touching wood it will keep on going smooth like this. :D
Building a family Plex server and backup solution....
    DS916+ 8GB - 4X4TB Reds, SHR (Backup)
    DS1815+ 2GB - 8X4TB Reds, RAID10 (all media and data)
    Transcoding - I7-7700K, Z270I, 16GB, AIO H75, Samsung evo SSD
    Transmitting - Asus RT-AC3100
    Routing - 2X Netgear GS108T

Updated my DS412+ to the latest DSM and now I can't connect to it, tried to reboot with the power button but no joy. What else can I try?

ETA: After several more reboots I'm finally up and running, not sure what happened though.

use the synology finder next time, perhaps the ip address changed, perhaps you should set a fixed ip address

Version: 6.1.3-15152-1 is a relatively simple patch... no reboot required.
