Problem here is i did not change any hard drives, just did a firmware update only.

Any one able to help on this?

Nobody able to assist?

Have you tried to force a reboot to see if that fixes things?

Well. i managed to install the latest update for my ds916+

6.1.2.15132

now SSH access is "open"... but not if i look in the terminal. but if i make a port scan my synology responds on port 22. i even tried with putty and it opened up... i cant close it in the GUI..
i tried rebooting.
nothing worked.

i have 2 docker images working perfectly. but after i updated, then docker images wont even stop if i ask them to stop. a "force stop" doesnt work. i got a Unifi controller running. When i stop it, i can still access it on port 8080.. so something is up.. anybody seeing the same?

After upgrading to the latest DSM on my 1815+ File Station is now broken. I opened a ticket to see if I can get some help.

I am having the same issue on my DS412+ - It says Filestation needs repairing, but it won't repair giving an error that it can't be uninstalled as its a built in package.

It appears that Synology has pulled a release. I'm getting errors about connection errors while trying to download it. Good thing! I've seen other bad releases and frankly I'm probably going to go back to plain old mirrored HDDs connected via USB 3.0, LAN or Thunderbolt. Way to many release issues for my comfort. I also recently found problems with my Mac Photos library stored on my DS216+ so I'm losing faith in Synology products. :-(

After installation of DSM 6.1.2, some built-in packages has to update themselves at first restart. File Station is one of them. If this fails, the restart will take a LONG time, or you will get an error. I have seen this behavior before, the first days after a major release. Looks to me like overload of Synology's servers.

Are there any commands I can run to resolve this issue?

Am I right, that synology...

fixed a critical samba vulnerablity with Version 6.1.1-15101-4 (CVE-2017-7494, Samba 4.4.14) and afterwards
went on with relase 6.1.2-15132 (CVE-2017-2619, Samba 4.4.13)???

Did they just change order or went back to a vulnerable version of samba?

You are right.

Version 4.4.13
Synology Build 15132, Jun 14 2017 12:42:57

Probably expect update 1 soon.

No Update1 is expected as based on some Synology sources the samba vulnerability fix has been backported to the current version 4.4.13.

PS To prevent any speculations, they have to update their Security section here -> https://www.synology.com/en-global/supp ... _2017_7494

I updated my 2415+ from 6.1.1-15101-4 to 6.1.2-15132.

most things are running fine ... even SMB file service is very fast..

BUT ISCSI performance for esx server is very poor!!! virtual machines are starting ... but response is very pure ... looks for me like a high latency ...

so if you are using ISCSI you may wait to use this update (;-)

Jeco92 wrote:On my DS212j, the upgrade was successful.

After restart, the DS212j was very slow and I can see a 99% CPU consumption (data collect process at more than 60%, etc.). I wait a long time (more than 1 hour) without any modification in CPU consumption.

I remember a problem with IP V6 causing this kind of trouble in the past. I deactivated IP V6 and restart.

After a few moment, the DS212j run again at normal speed.

It seems there is a problem on this release.

Same issue!
My HA Cluster Synology with 2x RS812RP+ were successfully updated to DSM 6.1.2-15132 but the CPU is working more than 90% and the temperature is 61 degrees for at least 24 hours.

It seems there is a problem on this release.

Hi All,

Today I upgraded to DSM 6.1.2-15132, but after that my system is in-accesible (212j, 2 HDD's).

When removing power and starting up again, the system is available for a few minutes, but after that it won't accept any connections. The system can be found in Synology Assistant, but gives the error 'Connection Failed'. Further more, the device is 'pingable' and shows no strange status on the LED?! All green, only thing I noticed is that the two HDD's LED's are insanely blinking like they are really busy? SSH times out, Web times out, not able to access it anymore

Anyone ideas? Ticket is submitted to Support as well.

Thanks!

Problems with Web interface speed too. All services running normally, but browsing DSM speed is turtle slow all of a sudden... restarted many times. Probably a problem with this update. Wait for update or roll back if possible.

Hi,

Upgraded my DS1515+ from 6.0.2-8451 Update9 straight to 6.1.2-15132, no issue at all. :)

I had to reset my whole system partition (DSM reinstallation) with the Synology Assistant to get it working. Is this really the way to go with? Meh....
