Re: Release?
I wish Synology were more vocal, they take take a leaf out of Ubiquiti's book when it comes to communication with testers.
Re: Release?
Well, can not find a true release, however there is a free demo site available, https://www.synology.com/en-global/dsm/live_demo, and it runs a version of 6.1 that has not yet been released. So something is happening at least.

Been there for many weeks
Re: Release?
Just speculating, but I think the Intel ATOM CPU debacle caught them and many others off guard. That seems to be around the time a few weeks ago they were planning a release.
They may have diverted resources to an earlier than expected release of their DSxx17+ models that are still running the C2000 series chips. That includes DS1515+,DS1815+, and DS2415+ units.
Also remember, that Synology is in the process of putting in place a new CEO, who may have difference priorities as well. Personally, I hope that means we can see them up their hardware game to QNAPs for professional desktop models. (that's just wishful thinking on my part.

The date on the Synology DSM 6.1 featured on that demo site is from February 14th, I do not think that is 1 week old, let alone, many weeks.

Yes, the demo site may be older than that, but the current version is relatively new. And that is all that matters when it comes to releasing a stable version. Work is in progress.

Re: Release?
... regarding the Atom problem: I am owning a 2415+, it is less than three months old. What should I do? Is there a replacement program for the respective Atom disk stations?
Re: Release?
The DSM 6.1 release version seems to be available on https://usdl.synology.com/download/DSM/release/6.1/15047/. I'm at work, so haven't been able to upgrade yet. Anybody upgraded yet? I'm interested in how it went, so I'll hopefully know what to expect when I upgrade my own DS tonight.

Re: Release?
doing a remote upgrade on a ds211j right now
UPDATE: dsm update on 211j was about 12min. Logging into web UI right now.
UPDATE2: OS update was fine. ddns access working fine. updating packages now
UPDATE3: all packages working fine. VPN with new encryption change setting is working fine on macOS and iOS devices. RAM utilization is really low and 211j is not working anything slower then on 6.0.2. All HB tasks are visible and Vault is working fine as well.
Tonight I'll try and upgrade my main DS412+ with a lot more services and hope all will be good there.

Today there was a lot of packages that were updated!!!
File Station was updated and broke everything. I had no folders displaying on file station... I'm running the update to see if it fixes...
Updated: Just updated to the final version of 6.1 and my file station problem was gone. No more RC version on the login screen!!!
Curious why no one noticed about the final update before...

Re: Release?
Nothing offered in update & restore on DSM, but their webpage is offering it for the 1513+:

Re: Release?
DSM 6.1-15047 is available on Support for manual upload. I guess the auto-update will go out in due course in the next hours to regions. I was alerted by Media Server & Search being auto-updated at around 10:00 GMT today.
I don't see much difference between it & Beta RC, Media Server did not show until I reset to 'Stop' & reset to 'Run'.
