HyperBackup - remote backups fail

Unread post by daydreamer » Tue Dec 05, 2017 5:39 pm

Hi,

I am trying to backup to remote locations (Hubic and Remote Synology NAS with HyperBackup Vault).
The setup for the backup to remote synology NAS uses a custom port that is then forwarded to the right port (TCP 6281)
Setup works fine until Rotation settings step of the wizard, where it gets stuck and brings the following error message: "The operation failed. Please login to DSM again and retry."

Anybody experienced this issue and knows how to solve it?
Thanks

Found the source of this issue: My router is behind a DSL modem and dials in via PPPOE, which brings down the MTU to 1492. I kept the MTU to 1500 on the router which is incorrect and leads to errors.
Changing the value to 1492 solved the issue.
