External HDD compatibility

Unread post by nousername » Fri Dec 18, 2015 10:22 am

Can anybody confirm which of the listed external hard drives (https://www.synology.com/en-global/compatibility) are compatible with the Synology RT1900ac router? Thanks in advance!

The list of compatible external HDDs is large. So, can anyone comment on which external HDDs work best with Synology routers? Is Seagate or Toshiba or Western Digital good to use with this router?

Thank you for reaching out! The Synology 1900ac router's compatibility list can be found here. Seagate has several drive models listed there:

Seagate Backup Plus - STDR4000300
Seagate Backup Plus Slim - STDR2000303
Seagate Expansion 1TB - STEA1000400
Seagate Expansion 2TB - STEA2000400
