Letsencrypt

Unread post by toxik » Sat Oct 01, 2016 7:58 am

Hey guys,

I saw that letsencrypt support hasn't (yet?) landed in the software.
Did anyone manage to install a certificate manually ?

Thanks,
Alex

LE: I found and successfully ran the guide from here https://github.com/Neilpang/acme.sh/wik ... tall-guide
Is there a way to have cron-like jobs though on the router ?

Was looking for the same thing a few weeks ago, but I will still wait for official support. Was looking at it as an option to offer some alternative vpn options via router, but for the time being I will stick with my NAS and vpn server role on it.

It's is available on DSM 6.0, then why is not yet on SRM?

I am also looking for this support!

One year on, is Synology thinking of implementing Letsencrypt support on RSM?

Maybe they wont, but there is a simple way to make a cert via LE Docker and then just import it. It will take some work considering it will have to be renewed manually then but i can be done. Also if there is a Syno NAS that you can use then you can just issues a LE cert there, export it and import it to your router.

If the router is the only thing you have, then run a docker on your system and use the image below
