I have tested with Logitech USB headphones 300 and DS106e (firmware 509 beta). Works like a charm.

Rather than or should I say as well as having the USB speaker option on the Synology which support this feature. It would be nice to have an headphone socket on the NAS so this can either be used in line with an amplifier.

Hi,

with something like this C-Media USB Headphone Set you can do it, it has only a microphone and a headphone plug so there you can also connect the line in of an amplifier.

Work super!
this works in my cs407

Firmware Version: 2.0.3 - 0510

plugged in to upper usb port (ups in lower) at first I forgot to enable audio station in the web interface. now it works great. Very cheap add on indeed cost me .99GBP plus shipping on the bay (3.94GBP total).

29-10-2007 added a powered 4 port usb hub, plugged the speed-link and synology remote into hub, plugged in to top port, all tested and working fine

cheers

Mark

i can also just confirm that this:

http://www.sandberg.it/product.aspx?id=133-33

works just fine with DS207+ (and most likely with the other models :)
the package i got didn't come with any driver cd though the text on that page says it does, so i guess it's driverless :)

Greetings werter67

I don't believe that we support dual USB Speaker sets with our systems.

Hope this answers your question, have a good weekend.

Sitecom WL-060 http://www.sitecom.com/product.php?prod ... ductid=689
It's a wireless audio transmitter with a USB dongle transmitter, miniature jack and phono sockets on the receiver. Works well, very simple, virtually no setting up required.
I have a DS-108j in the study with the dongle in the front USB, the receiver is in the living room approx 30 feet away. Recommended.

I can confirm that this very cheap USB Sound Adapter works just fine on my DS-207+.

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.5831

I have only used it for less than an hour, but it is entirely plug'n'play and the sound quality is fine.
