5.1-5022 Supports Older Models?

Unread post by LorryBonnet » Thu Jan 15, 2015 6:42 am

I am running a DS210j, and had not expected to upgrade past 5.0, as Synology announced a while back that 5.0 was the end of the road for this model. However, my NAS notified me that 5.1 is available with the release of the 5022 build. There is no mention in the release notes about support for additional models. Was this a change in plan?

I have a DS210j as well, DO NOT LOAD THE UPDATE.
I am "running" the 5022 update 1 version and now i just want my DS back.
CPU is at 99% consistently and no amount of rebooting is bringing it back. I hope i can downgrade it since I can barely access it at all now.

I have a DS210j here as well and it runs fine with 5022 U1.

So far Download manager seems to be soaking my CPU for some reason.
When it's idle, the DS is responsive. When it's active the CPU starts pegging out.
If this is working on your DS210j, what services/apps are you running on it?

Similar age, I have a DS410, and 5022-up1 is running fine on it.

Suggest you ssh onto the box, run "top", and see what's eating your CPU. As has been suggested it may be a specific package that needs to be reset or upgraded
