Access Control Allow all?

Postby motivated_1 » Thu Nov 06, 2014 5:50 pm

I already force my users to authenticate to my proxy. How can I make an access control rule that allows any originating source IP access the proxy?

Same question here.
0.0.0.0/0 is not allowed by UI (or any 0.0.0.0 btw)

Yes, this is annoying: I want to allow a few sites then disallow the rest, but 0.0.0.0/0 is not accepted !

Any idea how to go around this ?

Bit silly solution, but why not a rule with all directions masks from 1.0.0.0/8 to 255.0.0.0/8 to allow/disallow all directions and then a rule to disallow/allow specific IP or ranges in an upper position? Proxy Server rules have an upper-to-lower priority, so you only have to reorder rules to match your needs.

Hope it helps.

I installed the proxy server package days ago and I had the same problem. What I did was to allow all IP addresses starting with "0" or "1" (don't forget IP addresses are 32-bit sequence). So, I allowed:

    ·1.0.0.0/1 (0xxxxxxx.xxxxxxxx.xxxxxxxx.xxxxxxxx)
    ·128.0.0.0/1 (1xxxxxxx.xxxxxxxx.xxxxxxxx.xxxxxxxx)

Now it is working like i hoped 8)
