Monitoring hits to the Proxy Server

Postby Devinator » Fri Oct 07, 2016 5:24 am

I'd like to see real-time hits to the cache on the Web Proxy. Is there a way to monitor that?

thanks!

I am monitoring cache hits on my DS216J via the command line.
- Log in to the disk station via ssh
- type
sudo tail -F /var/packages/ProxyServer/target/squid/var/logs/access.log | grep 'TCP_HIT\|TCP_MEM_HIT'

This will show all cache hits. Adjust the grep command (or remove it) to log misses, etc
