Amazon Glacier - NAS migration

Unread post by xDRAN0x » Tue Nov 12, 2013 10:57 pm

HEllo,
currently planning on migrating my DS210j to a newer Synology model.

Thing is, I have an active Amazon Glacier vault being synchronised once a week. How can I migrate to my new NAS and not to have to reupload the whole vault onto Glacier ? is this possible?

Do I need to keep the same directory tree so the backup can diff. the right files?

thanks,

Somewhat surprised to see no answer to this post from several years ago.

I have the same situation - I need to migrate my Amazon Glaicer backup from one Synology NAS (DS413j) to another (DS1517+). In my case it is due to the failure of the DS413j (only 3 1/2 years old but out of warranty). I have several TB in the Glacier and don't really want to pay the cost or time for it to be backed up again. I will also try asking this in a Glacier forum if I can find one.
