+1 same here , sometimes opening the app will sync files but its not 100% reproducible. Everything was running fine for years until just recently. Had a Note 4 and now I have a Galaxy S7

I've received an answer from Synology, they are working on the issue and fix it with the next release of the Android App.

Got the same info... but there is still no update and it still doesn't work. Very annoying :(

Mine stopped syncing only recently. I have to kill the DS CLoud app on my Nexus 5 and then reopen it for it to sync a change made on the Nexus...

From my side I can tell you that now it seems to work, but sometimes the App switch to "Pause" mode and I have to resume it manually. Also not very satisfactory.
