Apologies for jumping in here. I too am trying to publish a family tree but I want to secure it. Ideally I would restrict the users so they have to log in via QuickConnect (using users and Groups within the Synology box) and to then be able to publish the website within the QuickConnect wrapper. Is there anyway to do this?
If I try to connect to an html file I can get it to open in a browser but the contect of the website (Css & links) is all lost.
with thanks
David

if you want access control, one thing to consider is using a dedicated genealogy app that runs on the Syno.

https://skdavis.net/viewforum.php?f=9 has all the instructions to run TNG http://www.tngsitebuilding.com/
Main: 916+
Test: 716+II
Backup: DS411j
Standby: DS216j
RT2600ac Router
Ver: Always the latest :)
