People aren't going to code a version for 4.2 beta

People will have to wait for public release of 4.2 to have any hope if not already supported, so stop asking.

Loving this app. I got it to work great on my ARM DS112(DSM4.1) with an HP 1080P camera. I just have 2 bugs though. 1)If I don't stop webcam service before letting my NAS go to sleep, the NAS will never wake up again from sleep no matter what I do. Only way to get it to respond again is to unplug it and reboot. 2)The camera does not appear to go to sleep when the NAS sleeps. The camera light is always on. Not sure if this is normal but I would like to have it wake up when NAS wakes up. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. :)

The 1812+ should work package, which is for intel.
Hello, I have DS1812+ (DSM 4.1-2668) as well and try to install version "For DS 4.1 - https://dl.dropbox.com/s/4qludm9rf5k079 ... 1.zip?dl=1". However after reboot I see only this error "Error loading v4l2_compat_ioctl32 modul".
What I should to do now? Can anyone help with this issue?
Than you.

I'm a new Synology user. I'd like to install my USB camera (logitech QuickPRO 9000) on the storage.
Could you help me to configure the service ?

Thank you

I had some trouble making it work, the webcam app keeps complaining that it can't load the v4l1-compat module. I added the necessary modules and edited webcam.c
Surveillance Station is working well
Many many thanks for this package, randkalf. I see a problem with the code wherein it tries to insmod modules regardless of whether they are already loaded and fails therefore. If I remove all the modules and then run webcam.cgi, then it runs successfully.

How have you been unloading and loading modules to make all this work?

Very grateful for the PPC package compiled for NAS like mine(410).

I had the following error though, im guessing its because my camera is incompatible

'Error loading v4l1-compat1 module' , and after a reboot 'Error loading i2c-core1 module '

Does anyone know what this means ?

I'm using the Playstation Eye as camera, which works fine on windows.

I checked out the 3 available packages here:

http://e-remonty.info/spkrepo/packages

but none is installable on my DS213 :-(

It's because of the processor (88f628x no Intel, bromolow, or cedarview) I guess, right? Or is it because all 3 packages I can download for webcam 4.2 are named with the suffix "-intel" and as such contain intel?
