Hi,

Recently I have updated my DS116 Value to DSM 6.1.3-15152 Update 5 and USB Webcam doesn't start, logs show: Trial period expired!
Is a problem related with the new update or a license problem?

In the log /var/log/messages shows this when I start the package:
2017-09-27T20:33:56+02:00 Synology [ 8021.828479] init: pkgctl-usb_webcam pre-start process (22549) terminated with status 1

Now with the license is working.

I have another question, I have a Logitech c270 webcam which supports 720p, when I configure 1280x720p resolution the usb_webcam image not shows anything, when I configure 960x720 works like a charm
¿is there a problem with 16:9 aspect ratio or my webcam is not fully supported?

Thanks in advance!

It may depend on selected mode - webcams usually have different supported resolution sets for YUV and MJPEG mode. You may create and send me a diag file (see the PM for instructions) and I'll tell you more then.
Kind regards,

Thanks for the info, I unchecked "Force YUV" option and now is working in 720p (1280x720).

No problem, I'm glad it works. :-) As mentioned in the !ReadMe.txt, MJPEG is the preffered option but default settings forces more compatible YUV because many old UVC webcams does not support MJPEG compression at all.
Thanks again for your donation,

Hey, I tried to install USB Webcam support and it didn't work the first time. Then I updated DSM and waited for the new version. I managed to install it that time, but it said my trial is over. I would like to try it, if it works, before I donate. Can developer contact me through PM? Thanks.

Hey guys,
For some strange reason, my webcam doesn't work anymore, it just stopped working a few days ago. The DSM version is DSM 6.1.3-15152 Update 7. The USB_Webcam module just does not show any image, and this all happened all of a sudden, no warning, licence is in place and working... Any ideas how I could debug this?
Thanks
