Strange error: Failed to get license from database

Hi all,

Recently my NAS had a random crash (became completely unresponsive after CPU hangs due to a Python process); after a hard reboot everything seems to be fine again except for one strange error message that keeps popping up in /var/log/messages. I'm hoping you guys can help my out by explaining what it means and what I can do to resolve it.

The error message repeats every hour on the 30th minute.

There doesn't seem to be any volume called synboot2 preset on the system when looking up with df -h.

same failed to get license from database errors.
since upgraded to 6.1 update-1

Do you have docker DSM installed?
I doubt the error message relates to DockerDSM. I deleted the DockerDSM and got the log.
synoddsmd[14143]: synoddsm-hostd.cpp:160 Receive SIGHUP. Create Require Socket.
hope the error will not show up again.

I deleted the docker DSM in Docker application. The license shows 1 free license validated, 0 in use, 1 available.
but the error log still persistent every hour.

Hi, no I do have Docker running, but not the DSM image. Problem still exists and repeating every hour.

I also get that synoboot2 disk check report; but I cannot find any partition going by that name. Any clue what that is about?

USB drive?

For the license error, I submitted a ticket to Synology not heard any response yet.

I haven't attached any USB drives. So that's not it I guess.

i was told the Docker DSM license issue is a known problem. Will be addressed in next release.

14 months later, we still see the same error. I wish there was a public issue tracker.
