GoDaddy Cert no longer works

Unread post by dclancy » Sun Oct 30, 2011 10:00 pm

After upgrade huge problem with login with https mi prior setup add fine signed Godaddy cert installed using the httpd-ssl.conf-user files per and it worked fine. After upgrade could not get into server with https.

Files look the same what up with the Apache update.

Running mkcert.sh fixed it but now it is self signed I want to get it back to way I had it signed through godaddy. tried several thing based on normal Apache 2.x doc but looks like synology using different files.

Any ideas?

Hi,

maybe download and add the intermediate and/or root certificate to the config. I have had this problem since the beginning with my Thawte certificate not being reckognized by my Synoboxes. I added the root and intermediate certificate to get it validated.
I added my certificate "bundle" with the SSLCACertificateFile command in the config files

hope this helps

What I ended up doing is rename the file to server.crt and replacing the one on the synlogy,
usr/syno/etc/ssl/ssl.crt/server.crt
Then added the chain file to http-ssl.conf-user
SSLCertificateChainFile /usr/syno/etc/ssl/ssl.crt/gd_bundle.crt

In the past all I had to do after creating the Cert Request on the Synology and submitting it was to add both to http-ssl.conf-user
SSLCertificateFile /usr/syno/etc/ssl/ssl.crt/mycert.crt

SSLCertificateChainFile /usr/syno/etc/ssl/ssl.crt/gd_bundle.crt

This time that did not work.

Again I just renames it server.crt and replaced the one on the synology.
