The HiDrive application is displaying that either the username or password is wrong. When signing on online at the internet there is no problem. Is there a router port that needs to be open that I have missed? I use DS 509+ with newest DSM software ver. 3.2-1922.

Synology: DS2415+
Firmware: DSM 6.0
HDD: 8 x HGST Ultrastar He8 8 TB
SSD: 2 x Intel X25M 80 GB
Hybrid RAID (SHR)
Router: Synology 1900ac

USB Station 2 (DSM 3.2 1944)

Same problem.
Can't connect from DSM to free 5 GB account.

What a bummer...

Not 100% sure, but AFAIK this is not a Synology issue. HiDrve doesnt allow to use the free 5 GB accounts with the Synology HiDrive package (got this information somewhere on the German forum)

True, the free 5 GB account doesn't support rsync, which you need for the Synology to connect to HiDrive (the HiDrive package for Synology also depends on Rsync).

Greetings and merry Christmas,

It's just about Christmas again, and I'm not able to get HiDrive to accept my User/Password via Synology, even after upgrading my HiDrive account. Same message as I had been getting with the free 5GB account. I just upgraded within the last hour, so perhaps there is a lag before it syncs, but it's troubling that it so easily and quickly took my money, and yet no progress. My password has no special characters or caps.

My premium update on HiDrive finally showed as registered this morning, and I was able to setup and run a backup on my DS111, so there apparently was a processing delay for whatever reason, which took at least 9 hours to complete.

The user interface on HiDrive is not really very helpful, or intuitively obvious, in my opinion. Since all I want to backup are my surveillance cameras, I bought the cheapest update for 5GB paid, which I assumed would add to the 5GB free, giving me 10GB to work with, but it actually just gives the added rsync functionality, with no increase in storage. There is no way I would have paid the freight for the next step up, the 100GB option. It is horrendously overpriced, in my opinion, compared to the other available cloud services. I wish Synology would provide a pathway for one of them, rather than HiDrive.

I understand a company's choice to have restrictions but they are very unclear. I also have only a free hidrive account. If I log on to the hidrive website there is a section "downloads" which shows me the synology app, at least suggesting it should work.
