Once again submit a support form and you'll get a link to a patch for your model and everything is fine.

Another happy customer:
I installed the patch and, on Win 7 seems that is working. Now is able to “wake”" the DS211 from hibernation and prints well. Just like the old days.
I will check these days from a MacBook Air also.

Anyway, I think that, for the way that Synology handled this matter, they deserve our respect.

Same here.

DS710+ was working like a charm with HL-1430. Now after update to DSM 3.2-1922 whole PC hangs when opening the print dialog and I am not able to print :cry:

Please fix it as it was runnin fine before.

After contacting Synology support, I received a link to a .pat file. After installing it, nothing much seems to have changed for me; printing is still very unreliable (I can get one or two printjobs done, and then I have to reboot the DS before I can print again).

Was I right in assuming I was supposed to install the .pat with a manual dsm firmware update in the control panel? Is there any way I can see if the patch was installed successfully?

Just installed the latest firmware 3.2-1944 and the brother hl-1430 is working again.

No joy here with update #1944 which I was expecting to fix this issue. The PCs all print to our Canon Pixma 4500 via our DS210j fine, but my lady's Macbook doesn't even though it appears to connect - it just hangs on "paused". Printing via the Mac worked absolutely fine before the last two updates - now it's a nightmare and she can't get any work done.

Synology have crippled this for us - they have produced updates which have reduced the abilities of the DiskStation, whereas I thought updates were supposed to be improvements.

Makes you wish they didn't absolutely prevent DSM downgrades, too.

Couple of months further, I just connected my printer to the NAS (110J) and when I looked at the configuration-screen, it showed up under the printer/scan heading. So I believe I had good luck and tried to print. And it kept at trying, because it didn't work :(

Using a Epson MFP BX305FW printer on DSM4 (latest version).

After the update to DSM40 my printer does not work anymore.
Submitted a ticked . Let's see.
