I'm using the final version of DSM 3.2 on my DS110j and it never sleeps so the problem is still there.

Same for me, offical 1922 release of DSM 3.2, and still doesn't work.
After two weeks non-stop running, rebooting, re-indexing, rebooting again, etc.. disks don't go hibernate at all.
Everything worked well with DSM 3.1 in the same configuration
Any new ideas except switching off the multimedia server (which is what the Synology is made for) or blocking some ports ?
Thanx all.

Mmmmhhhhh, very curious. With the beta the hibernate only works with a
diabled media server. After i changed to the release version 1922 the
hibernate only works for some days an then my hdds were running all time :-(

I disabled all services, also the media server. But nothing, the hdds never got to sleep.
The i stopped my running squeezeserver 7.5.4 packet and voila, after 15 Min the ds sleeps like
a baby. The i enabled the squeezeserver and all my other servics again. And what to hell... the
DS sleeps after 15 Min!?!??! But only for three days!! After this time the hdds were runnigs all the time again.

Now i went back to DSM 3.1 1748 and the hibernate works like a charm with all services and squeezeserver 7.5.4.
