Supporting for Bi-directional communication hardware

Postby Franklin » Mon May 28, 2007 7:38 pm

This document will explain why we cannot support bi-directional devices, such as multi-functional machines.

The dilemma that we face when attempting to support bi-directional communication is the fact that every single Printer Manufacture uses a different method of communicating between printer and host PC (which is why users are required to install drivers). And there's also the fact that different models within the same manufacture uses different standards, because of proprietary technology, it is very difficult to support bi-directional communication.
