USB printer via synology assistant - Help!

Unread post by benali » Wed Jan 25, 2017 1:40 pm

I’m having a problem connecting my Canon mp610. W10(64) DS213. I’ve installed windows 7 driver in compatibility mode, synology assistant sees it but when you connect to it, it just hangs on connecting. However, if I log on to the diskstation, I can see the printer and print a test page. But thats it, my pc won’t see it because synology assistant wont complete connecting. Any ideas?

Well it was working on my upgraded W10 from W7. But after performing a fresh install of W10, I just cant get it to connect and like I say logging onto the DS I can print a test page.

sorry- got it, it's the printer and Windows10 that are not compatible at this point then- as it looks like Canon is not supporting/providing drivers for Win10
