WebDAV vs Samsung Galaxy S II (GT-i9100) with Android v2.3.3

Unread post by dedro » Fri Jul 22, 2011 10:56 pm

Hi,
I'm not able to connect to my NAS using DS Audio, File or Photo+ (WebDAV), and I'm trying to use Synology's apps in android smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy S2 (GT-i9100)
OS: Android v2.3.3
Other: I9100XXKE6
Kernel: 2.6.35.7-I9100XWKEB-CL241212 root@DELL101 #2
Compilation: GINGERBREAD.XWKEB

DS file for Android
Version: 1.0.2-010

Synology NAS - DS509+
OS: DSM 3.1-1748

Router D-Link DIR-655
Firmware Version: 1.31EU
Hardware Version: A3

I have created a Virtual Server (not port foward) to the NAS IP and it's port 5006 and both protocols. Shouldn't this work too?
The WebDAV service is running in the NAS and I only enable https (5006). I've tried the http too but with the same result.
Every user I have tried has WebDAV access in the Applications Privileges, even created a new one for test, but the result was the same too. With admin user I get the same "User or Password are invalid. Try Again". I know that this message is pretty clear but I'm sure I'm spelling the correct user name and password. I know this because I can enter with the users in their NAS account.
Any Ideias, can someone help me?

Thank's in advance.

I have the same software versions and can't connect through local network.
WebDAV activated http and https, file station http and https activated too.

I'm trying login with admin user in my case ds file are retrieving a message saying that can´t connect, asking if WebDAV is activated.

I found a solution.
I was also putting port in address field and that was the problem.
So only put the ip (ex:192.168.1.70) in the address field. If you put something like 192.168.1.70:5006 the application will fail when try to connect.

Best,

As no one helped, so far, I've opened a ticket in support (#84139)
I've edited a little my initial post (and the title too) as I forgot to mentioned that with the other Synology apps, for android OS, I had the same problema. With DS Audio and DS File I get, with the Admin account (and other wells configured users), "User or Password are invalid. Try Again".
With DS Photo+ I get, with the Admin account and the other accounts too - "You are not authorized to use this service.
As soon I get my questions replyied I will post here. Until then any information/help would be great.

Problem solved, for me.

As I was preparing the NAS for the support guys to enter I found out what was wrong.

Auto Block/Block List

The 1st times I tested the software I might have reach the max attempts I can make to my NAS with a fault connection (missing the user name or password). So I just deleted my android IP from the Block List and, Voila, it's working now.

... now it looks a simple thing.

Put IP address or search for DiskStation on the LAN Network
Put "admin" in second row
and then password, worked for me.
