I'd also appreciate a mirror (for DS508). It's crawling along at less than 5k/sec. Come on Synology, this is embarrassing.

For DS 107+:
http://tamspalm.de/dateiablage/js/syno/
At the moment it is still downloading, according to wget it will be complete in 2-3h. So wait until filesize isn't growing anymore (should be 150 MB then).

So increase the number of mirrors only for the few days on the year when they release a new version, and have them idling the rest of the year?
No longer using Synology NAS, moved to more open source solutions.

Downloading DSM Updates

Unread post by AKFubar » Wed Mar 02, 2011 2:12 pm

Synology really needs to make an improvement on the distribution of DSM updates. The current Synology updates server is slow and seems overwhelmed. This is appalling performance for a high tech company Synology!

Yes, in the next hours, it's still downloading all files. Current task: DSM_DS710+_1594.pat (~60%)

You're awesome! Just got my 211j today and I didn't want to wait 6 hours for 3.1 to use it.

I've uploaded it to three mirrors.

Only for DS209+II

It took ages to download.

Part 1: http://netload.in/dateitNna1z47zS/DSM_D ... t1.rar.htm
Part 2: http://netload.in/dateiuug6RVCUru/DSM_D ... t2.rar.htm

Part 1: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CHMKEXL2
Part 2: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8C2DM5AD

Part 1: http://rapidshare.com/files/450637816/D ... .part1.rar
Part 2: http://rapidshare.com/files/450637819/D ... .part2.rar

Mirrors are interchangeable. You can download part 1 from netload and part 2 from rapidshare for instance.
