Thinking of buying DS2411+ for my home office

Unread post by ddms » Sun Jul 01, 2012 9:51 pm

I'm thinking of buying a DS2411+ with which I'll initially have 5 or 6 3TB drives and then keep adding more within the coming months.

The description says it has a dual core processor. Which processor exactly?

What sort of OS runs on this unit? Can I run my own distros instead?

Per standard you can't run you own, but if you are a nifty programmer then you would be able to run something else
