Asking for credentials when opening a document

Unread post by sbkjo » Tue Dec 13, 2016 2:28 pm

Hi,

I have connected my NAS with WebDAV (Windows Explorer). It works, but every time I want ot open a document it asks for credentials, even if I click "remember". It's not very convenient...

Any way to solve this ?

Thanks
Serge

It has been that way for years, I've looked into years ago and tried many different solutions and never found anything that worked. I do recall it has to do with how Office and Windows stores the credentials in a Workgroup environment, or more appropriately their inability to store the credentials in such a way that works with the server. If you leave an Office application open once you have signed in (twice), you shouldn't have to sign in again. Close out of Office and you'll have to sign in again as it will lose your credentials.
