The released v.1334 is determined by having uncharacteristic "Starting Process" when the Synology NAS booted up from a complete procedure of firmware update - The reason that it caused such problem scenario has been found that if there's any share folder named as a repetition of system default share, Photo, Music and Video for instance, might've freeze condition during rebooting process.
For users whom have performed an updated of v.1334, please contact Synology Online Support for immediate resolutions.
For users whom have not performed an update of v.1334, the fix patch will be available within few hours.
Me, as a Synology rep. is sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.
Hi synology please let us know if there is a fix for us that have already updated.
It would bring alot of peace to mind, if we knew that the problem can be solved without a new nas box.
I seriously doubt it has fried your NAS.
Most likely, your configuration is toast, so you'll have to reset/restore a new version of DSM 3.0, and restore your configuration from backup.
In any case, that's the approach i plan on taking once Synology releases a new firmware.
Well i dont think it is toast.. But if i can't access the nas on any protocol available, how can i or synology then transfer a new firmware?
