USB Copy Unwanted Files

Unread post by vassil_bk » Mon Jan 15, 2018 9:33 pm

Hello,

I have been using USB Copy for a while and everything was fine. I am doing a mirror copy to a folder located on the NAS to the USB. Recently I noticed that along with the files I want to be copied (mp3 and m3u only) there are files starting with '._' and the same name as the others. I don't want these files starting with '._' to be copied. Do you know how to get rid of them? Probably I missed some settings or something...

Thank you

Hello,

I am having the same when copying from nas to FAT32 usb drive. I have found this post https://forum.synology.com/enu/viewtopic.php?t=97883
Seems that if you use a EXT4 drive you shouldn't have the issue.
On windows these files are hidden so you can set up your windows explorer to not show these.

Please let us know if you find a way to stop generate these files.

Thank you and have a nice day,
