Multiple Time Machine Backups in 1 Shared Folder?

Postby bobmoore » Sun Nov 05, 2017 12:19 am

I am awaiting delivery of a DS218+ !!!

I have 4 Mac's on my network and all will be backed up to the NAS with Time Machine. I would like to create one Shared Folder with a Quota about equal to 2 times the size of the drives of all the computers. So the one Shared Folder would contain 4 sparse bundle files (one of each computer).

Can I do this, or do I have to create a Shared Folder for each of the Macs? Also, do I use AFS or SMB?

So far, so good. I've backed up 4 Mac's to a single shared folder on the Synology NAS.
