How to run VMWARE from a network share.

Postby well0549 » Sat Jan 23, 2016 1:34 pm

hello I have several VMWARE images.
They are all stored on the syno and from time to time i will spin one up...

However, when i try to do so VMWARE (PLAYER) gives me some insufficient permissions error.

Is there anything special i need to to to host the data files on my ds415play and run the image directly from the NAS.....

Now i have to copy the damn thing every time and it takes a long time.....
Anybody has a nice solution for this ?

Which DSM version is installed on Synology?
Which version of Windows are you using?
