Firewall location rules

Unread post by hummersyn » Tue Sep 25, 2018 6:11 pm

Hello,
My rules in my firewall are:
Allow LAN
Allow Location France(FR)/(A1)/(A2)
Deny All

This works, except when I use a VPN service (always with IP's in France), seems firewall doesnt recognize my IP from France.
For example my IP now trying to access is 194.99.106.2, all databases online shows it is France IP.

Are VPN IP's delisted from countries list?

You are trying to connect to your NAS using its inbuilt VPN server?
You’ll need to add the IP range of the internal VPN (eg 10.8.0.0 - 10.8.0.255) to the firewall rules.
DS916+, 3 x 4TB WD Red, 1 x 4TB WD Purple
UniFi USG, 16 port PoE switch and 4 x AP’s, some Windows, Mac, Android and iDevices

I use ExpressVPN for daily use. It is not internal IP's. I tried allow range of expressVPN public IP's, but range is not always the same.
