DS918+ loadavg

Postby j-rune » Tue Nov 21, 2017 5:36 pm

Hi,

After using Netgear as a NAS for years, I've switched to a Synology DS918+. The NAS is working just fine. However, I do notice the loadavg is never below 1.00 (even though all 4 CPU cores are at almost 100% idle). I have tried disabling HDD services etc, but this has no effect. Also disabling quickconnect does not help. ? It looks like one or some services constantly requires CPU time, but not much, but which process? I can see a lot of SYNO services are active, but can I safely disable those? How can I do that?

Are there users here that experience this same behavior?

Thanks for the help,
Jeroen
