Technical Helpdesk Trainee - Salary range £13-15k
Synology UK Ltd is looking to expand their small but growing team. Located in Milton Keynes, we are currently recruiting for a Technical Helpdesk Trainee to join our small but thriving office, which is part or a large, global company.

The role:

The Technical Helpdesk Trainee will be trained on Synology NAS products and will be responsible for supporting the technical consultants/Product Specialists. This will include answering the tech helpline, dealing with questions and queries from end users, distributors and resellers as well as receive and respond to technical emails and source and test a variety of products.

Key responsibilities will be:
• Answer technical helpline.
• Send and receive technical support emails.
• Testing of Storage, Networking, Mobile, and Multimedia Technology products.
You will need to be able to provide accurate, helpful and sound advice and solutions for our customers. This will be via email and telephone so you will need a clear and confident telephone manner. We receive calls and emails daily from distributors, resellers and end users who require various levels of support on Synology NAS. These queries could be anything from “What hard-drives are compatible?” to “My entire business IT infrastructure is down...”

Duties include:
• Answering and making phone calls from/to distributors, resellers and end users.
• Receiving and replying to emails from/to distributors, resellers and end users.
• Support the marketing team by dealing with technical queries from the media and testing sample units.
• Testing other products as required and sourcing compatible equipment such as PC’s, MAC’s etc.
• Other duties as required.

Essential skills and experience:

• A keen interest in IT.
• A relevant IT qualification or comparable working experience.
• Good, clear and confident telephone manner.
• Good working level of spelling and grammar.
• Customer service experience.

Ideal skills and experience:

• Fluency in another European language
• NAS experience, ideally with some knowledge in Synology products.

We are looking for an individual who will be able to support our customers with any query they have, in a professional and pleasant manner. Looking to get all queries resolved as quickly as possible.

You will need to be:

• Confident.
• Friendly.
• Approachable.
• Team player.

• Hours: Monday – Thursday 9:00 – 5:30 and Friday 9:00 – 5:00
• 1 hour lunch break
